The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology has formalized, through Order No. 173/2026, the appointment of Silvia Cristina Castro Fernandes de Abreu to the position of Division Head of the Madeira Vocational Training Center.
The appointment, which takes effect from April 1, 2026, is made on an interim basis due to the vacancy of the position following the end of the previous incumbent's service commission. The decision aims to ensure the continuity of management and coordination of this organizational unit of the Institute for Qualification, IP-RAM, guaranteeing the normal operation of essential services such as training action planning, candidate selection, and vocational monitoring of trainees.
Silvia de Abreu, a senior technician on the staff of the Institute for Qualification, IP-RAM, holds a degree in Ergonomics and has an extensive curriculum in the field of vocational training, accumulating more than four years of experience in positions requiring higher education, thus meeting the legal requirements for this 2nd-degree intermediate management position.
