The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Finance and the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure, has authorized the opening of a public tender procedure for the acquisition of housing units in the municipality of Santa Cruz. The measure, formalized by Ordinance no. 177/2026, aims to purchase new properties, free of any liens or encumbrances.
The total authorized investment amounts to €23,000,000.00, with funding provided by IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM. The multi-annual payment plan is structured as follows:
The ordinance also establishes that the amounts set for each fiscal year may be increased by the balance from the previous year. The mentioned values do not include VAT at the current legal rate, and the measure enters into force immediately.
